Terms of Service

You agree to use Rinkside in good faith and only for legitimate hockey team coordination — schedule, communication, RSVP, carpool, payments, and stats. Don't upload illegal content, harass other users, or attempt to access other teams' data.

You're responsible for keeping your password safe. If you give your coach code to someone, they get coach-level access. If you give your owner code, they get full control of your team data. Treat them like you would your own banking password.

You retain ownership of everything you post: announcements, messages, photos, documents. By posting, you grant Rinkside a limited license to store and display that content to your authorized teammates and to make backups.

Stripe Connect handles all team payments — ice rental splits, tournament fees, optional team purchases. Stripe's terms apply to those transactions. Rinkside never holds your money or card data; we're a software middle layer.

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee 100%. Push notifications depend on Apple, Google, and Expo services we don't control. Game data accuracy depends on upstream sources (your league's website + GameSheet); we make a best effort to keep it fresh.

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend an account that violates these terms or that's being used to abuse other users. We'll notify by email before any non-urgent suspension.

Rinkside is provided as-is. We're not responsible for missed games, missed practices, missed cancellations, missed scores, or any other indirect harm arising from app use. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you've paid to Rinkside in the past 12 months.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes are handled in Hamilton, Ontario courts.
