Privacy Policy

Rinkside collects only the minimum data needed to make a team app work: your email, display name, optional phone number, the teams you belong to, your role on each team (parent/coach/manager/owner/fan), the games and events on those teams' schedules, your RSVPs, your messages and announcements, and (if you opt in) a push notification token from your device.

We do not collect device location, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or biometric data. We do not run third-party tracking scripts.

• Show you your team's schedule, roster, and announcements
• Notify you of schedule changes, game starts, scores, and announcements
• Coordinate carpool and RSVP across the team
• Maintain account access (email + password or magic link)

Most of your data is visible only to other members of your team. Your name and jersey number may appear on your team's public roster page (e.g. /teams/<org>/<team>/). Game schedules and final scores are public, since they're already published by your league. Messages, announcements, chat, RSVPs, carpool entries, and documents are restricted to authenticated team members via Postgres Row Level Security.

We never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. Period.

Data is stored in Supabase (Postgres) hosted in North America. File uploads go to Supabase Storage with the same regional residency. Push notifications are dispatched through Expo's push service to Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

Account data is retained for as long as you have an active account. Game and schedule data may be retained indefinitely as historical records. You can delete your account at any time, which will remove your profile, RSVPs, carpool entries, messages, push tokens, and notification preferences within 30 days.

You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, withdraw consent, or request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@rinkside.app. Most requests are fulfilled within 7 days.

Rinkside is designed to be used by parents, coaches, and managers of minor hockey teams. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. Players under 13 may appear on a team's roster (name + jersey number) only when added by an authorized coach or manager.

We'll notify users by email and in-app banner of any material changes to this policy. The "Effective" date above always reflects the current version.
